bosz vitIt was leaked at the weekend that Bosz had met with Maccabi Tel Aviv director Jordi Cruyff over their vacant managerial position, but the 52-year-old seemed to play down the news on Sunday and spoke of his desire to discuss a new contract with Vitesse.

However on Monday it was announced by Vitesse that Bosz had left the club to take charge of the Israeli side, with assistant Rob Mas provisionally taking over in Arnhem.

Bosz stated that he was shocked by the move, but he couldn’t pass up the opportunity. He said, “This is a surprise to me, I was not going to go away in the winter,”

“That’s an unfortunate period, but this opportunity I could not pass up.”

Bosz has been in charge of Vitesse since 2013 and leaves them sitting fifth in the Eredivisie table.
