Bosz left Ajax in the summer to take charge of the German giants and got off to a great start with Dortmund winning six of their opening seven league games. However, since a 2-1 win over Augsburg at the end of September, Dortmund’s form has fallen off a cliff. The club haven’t won a single league game since and were knocked out of the Champions League after failing to win a single group game.

On Saturday, Bosz admitted the 2-1 defeat to Werder Bremen was one of the worst performances he had seen since he took charge and the club acted by sacking the Dutchman. At a press conference on Sunday, the news was confirmed and Peter Stöger was presented as Bosz’s replacement until the end of the season.

Bosz lasted 163 days as Dortmund coach, winning eight official matches out of 24.
