Boymans will join fellow Dutchmen Fred Rutten at the club, with the former Feyenoord and Vitesse coach taking charge of Al Shabab recently.

The striker joined Utrecht from AZ in 2014, but injuries have limited his playing time over the past two seasons. In 24 league appearances for Utrecht, Boymans scored 19 times.
