Despite Oussama Tannane’s first half red card, Vitesse defeated ADO Den Haag 2-0 thanks to a double from striker Armando Broja.

Broja was handed his first start for Vitesse in the Hague and the Chelsea loanee opened the scoring in the 32nd minute. He finished off on the rebound after Lois Openda’s strike was parried.

Vitesse were clearly on top but on the stroke of half-time, Tannane lost his head. After being brought down he was booked for dissent, but after continuing to rant at the referee, he was shown his second yellow card.

Ravel Morrison was brought on at the break for his ADO Den Haag debut as the hosts went in search of the equaliser. However, it did not come and in the 71st minute, Broja sealed Vitesse’s victory. He cut inside before firing into the far corner.

Jonas Arweiler his the crossbar before the end as ADO Den Haag failed to find a way back into the game.

Vitesse climbs to second, while ADO Den Haag are 15th.
