Vitesse Arnhem are now unbeaten in their last six Eredivisie games and are currently sitting in 3rd place.

Linssen said, ”We are delighted to have beaten SC Heerenveen 4-0 away from home today. We took our chances in the beginning of the game and this could have well been a 6-0 or 7-0 victory. We felt that the game was easier than we thought it would be.

”As a team we thought that it would be sensible to have two defensive midfielders today and one particularly to pay attention to Stijn Schaars. I compliment my manager Henk Fraser in making such a tactical decision.

”We want to be in the mix at the top end of the Eredivisie and to be involved in qualifying for Europe against next season.

”Our attention now turns to PSV Eindhoven next week and that will be an interesting game and we want to continue our good form of late.”
