lukoki acdCambuur got off to a fast start, taking the lead after only four minutes as a long ball wasn’t claimed by Kristoffer Nordfeldt, and Elvis Manu raced in to loop the ball over the stranded Heerenveen keeper.

A minute before half time, the home side made it 2-0 with Bartholomew Ogbenche getting ahead of his marker to head in a free-kick from a few yards out.

The home side continued to dominate in the second half, and winger Jody Lukoki fired past Nordfeldt, with 20 minutes to go, to make it 3-0.

Alfred Finnbogason pulled a goal back late on for Heerenveen, as the striker hooked Hakim Ziyech’s chipped ball into the net, but it was too little too late for Marco van Bastens side.

A brilliant win for Cambuur, and they move up to 14th in the table after their 2nd victory in a row, while Heerenveen remain 5th.
