barto efbkjThe results on Saturday had left Cambuur in 17th place at the start of play on Sunday, but they made a quick start, and had the lead on six minutes with Marcel Ritzmaier bursting into the box before lifting the ball over Diederik Boer to make it 1-0.

Cambuur wasted a big chance to make it 2-0 just after the goal, but did eventually net their second with five minutes left in the first half as Martijn Barto fired in from close range after Zwolle failed to clear Jody Lukoki’s cross.

Just like in the first half Cambuur netted six minutes into the restart and it was Barto who netted his second with an excellent volley from inside the box.

With twelve minutes left Zwolle gave themselves a lifeline as Mateusz Klich found the bottom corner with an effort from just outside the box to make it 3-1.

Cambuur held on for the win which lifts them up to 14th spot, while PEC Zwolle remain 8th.
