Cambuur climbed into the top ten of the Eredivisie after seeing off relegation threatened RKC 3-2 in Leeuwarden.

The home side took the lead on 16 minutes when Bob Scheper’s blistering shot from 25 yards flew over RKC goalkeeper Arjan van Dijk and into the roof of the net.
RKC were only behind for four minutes before Damiano Schet capitalised on a terrible error by Cambuur keeper Leonard Nienhuis before slotting into an empty net.
Sander Duits saw his free kick tipped onto the post by Niehuis as RKC came close to the lead, but two minutes before the break Martijn Barto stabbed the ball past Van Dijk after a penalty box scramble to give Cambuur a 2-1 lead.
In the second half RKC pushed for an equaliser which finally came on 66 minutes as Jean-David Beauguel fired a cutback past Nienhuis and into the bottom corner.
The game was heading for a draw when Elvis Manu took advantage of a horrible error in RKC’s defence to give Cambuur a 3-2 lead and the win.
Cambuur now rise into ninth place in the table, while RKC stay in 16th, and remain in grave danger of relegation.
