Clarence Seedorf has been announced as the new head coach of the Cameroon national team with Patrick Kluivert set to assist him.

The Cameroon Minister of Sport Pierre Ismael Bidoung Mpkatt held a press conference on Saturday where he announced Seedorf as the new head coach. Contract details will be announced at a later date.

Seedorf, who left his role with Deportivo la Coruna at the end of last season, is the successor of Hugo Broos, whose period as national coach came to an end at the end of 2017. Patrick Kluivert will assist Seedorf in his new role.

Cameroon did not qualify for the World Cup this year but will host the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
