Goals from Hakim Ziyech and Amin Younes were not enough to maintain Ajax’s winning streak, but help keep the Dutch side top of their Europa League group.

An equal match was played out between two very good football sides with similar playing styles. It was Ajax though who drew first blood. Hakim Ziyech was sent through on the left by Kasper Dolberg, and the Moroccan danced his way past Celta Vigo’s defence to poke home.

The Spanish side quickly drew level though, as the ball bounced in off Andreu Fontás following a free-kick, exploiting Ajax’s current aerial weaknesses once more.

Half-chances came and went for both teams, but Amin Younes was able to put the visitors back in front when he cut inside and fired the ball past Blanco in the home goal.

The Amsterdammers failed to see the game out though, as Fabian Orellana was unmarked to find the back of the net and make it 2-2.

Ajax now have seven points in their group, ahead of Celta on five. Standard Liege and Panathinaikos also drew 2-2 tonight to leave both sides on two points and one point respectively.
