Utrecht boss John van Den Brom has named Celtic as the most concrete club in the race to sign winger Gyrano Kerk.

The Scottish side made an attempt to sign Kerk on the last day of the January transfer window, but he remained in Utrecht.

Speaking to Een Berg Sport on RTV Utrecht, Van den Brom has said Celtic are still the most concrete club to show interest in the forward, and that it is quiet now around Utrecht’s star player.

He added, “That is football. You hear very little about transfers, but that could be different tomorrow. Eventually that will change in September, especially if they (FIFA and UEFA) Are going to extend the date.”

According to RTV Utrecht, Kerk, who has a contract with Utrecht until 2023, is valued at €4 million.
