FC Twente are set to complete the signing of Utrecht winger Vaclav Cerny on loan.

The 22-year-old swapped Ajax for Utrecht last summer in search of playing time, but he only made three starts in the Eredivisie, and was criticised by coach John van den Brom.

According to Voetbal International, Cerny is now on his way to FC Twente, with a loan deal set to be announced shortly. He will become the club’s second summer signing after Gijs Smal.

Cerny will be the replacement for Aitor Cantalapiedra, who left the club to join Panathinaikos on a free transfer.

Twente are looking for a number of new signings this summer with Ola John and Eljero Elia also linked with a move to Enschede.
