PSV Eindhoven go into their penultimate Champions League group stage tie against Manchester United with a good chance of reaching the knockout stages.

The 2-0 win over Wolfsburg two weeks ago saw PSV move to second in Group B, and only one point behind leaders Manchester United, who host Phillip Cocu’s side on Tuesday,
The reverse fixture earlier this season saw PSV come from behind to record a 2-1 victory over Louis van Gaal’s side, and a repeat of that would see the Eindhoven side almost seal a spot in the knockout round with one game left.
However PSV looked far from at their best at the weekend as they only managed a 2-2 draw away against struggling Willem II, with the Eredivisie champions defence again looking far from secure. Manchester United on the other hand recorded a late 2-1 win over Watford to move them second in the Premier League table, with former PSV star Memphis Depay on the score-sheet.
Louis van Gaal’s side will go into the game as heavy favourites, especially knowing a win would send Manchester United into the knock-out rounds, and the fact PSV haven’t won a Champions League tie in England since a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United in 1998.
