Atsu joined Chelsea from Porto in September before being immediately sent on loan to Vitesse, where he has made 25 appearances, scoring five goals.
His appearances at Vitesse led to him being named as the clubs player of the season last weekend, ahead of fellow Chelsea loanee’s Lucas Piazon, Patrick van Aanholt and Bertrand Traore.
Speaking to Voetbal International the Ghana international has expressed his willingness to continue in Arnhem, should Chelsea look to send him on loan again.
Atsu said, “It all depends on Chelsea. If they say that I have to stay in London, then why not?
“Here, I get the chance to develop myself and at Vitesse we play an attacking system.
“Suppose I move to a bigger club and am placed on the bench or I move to a team that plays counter-attacking football, that would leave me feeling like I am going to the office and taking a nap on my desk.”
