The 18-year-old was signed by the Premier League giants from Feyenoord two-years-ago and although he has yet to make his first-team debut, Chong has made a big impression with the U23’s this season.

On Tuesday night, Chong was awarded the Jimmy Murphy Youth Player of the Year Award, which in the past has been presented to Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Phil Neville and Marcus Rashford.

After receiving the award he told the audience, “I think it’s the dream of everyone in this room to play in the first team, but we will all have to work hard to achieve this goal”,
