According to reports in Portugal, Jasper Cillessen could be about to swap Barcelona for Benfica.

The Netherlands number one has been vocal in recent months about his wish to leave Barcelona this summer in order to get more playing time.

Portuguese newspaper, ‘A Bola’ is reporting that Cillessen is in talks with Benfica over a move to Portugal.

The 30-year-old is said to be close to agreeing on a move to Lisbon, but it is unclear whether it would be a loan or permanent move.

Cillessen has been second choice to Marc-Andre Ter Stegen ever since he moved from Ajax to Barcelona in 2017. However, he has remained first choice with Oranje boss Ronald Koeman.
