Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen believes he will be staying at the club this season, despite reported interest from Manchester United.

cillessen ajax mThe Netherlands number one has constantly been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer as a potential replacement for David de Gea, who is linked with Real Madrid.

However speaking after keeping his third clean sheet of the season in a 2-0 win over NEC, Cillessen said he has not heard from Manchester United this summer, and thinks he will be staying at Ajax.

Cillessen told NOS, “As far as I know its never been an item. I, the club or my agent have never heard anything. As for me begins this season begins and ends at Ajax.”

Coach Frank de Boer also believes his goalkeeper will not be leaving, saying, “I expect him to stay, though anything can happen in the final phase of the transfer period. But Jasper is now only more and more expensive.”
