The midfielder joined Club Brugge in the summer on an initial season-long loan deal and although he struggled for game time at the start, Clasie has played his way into the line-up.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Club Brugge have become convinced of Clasie’s qualities and are hoping to agree another loan deal which will see the former Feyenoord star stay until the end of next season.

However, it is unclear whether Southampton would agree to another loan deal for the 26-year-old, who cost them €15 million.

Clasie has made 19 appearances for Club Brugge this season, scoring once.
