Dutch legend Johan Cruyff has said the transfer of Daley Blind to Manchester United is a perfect example of how a player’s career should progress.

The 24-year-old completed a move to Old Trafford from Ajax on transfer deadline day for a fee of £13.8m after spending six years in the Amsterdam club’s first team.
This is what the Dutch legend had to say about the move in his weekly column in de Telegraaf, “Daley Blind is a wonderful example of how it should be done.”
“Educated at Ajax, loan spell at FC Groningen and then further development at Ajax, through to the World Cup squad.
“Finally a top transfer to Manchester United.
“He could be a role model for young players at Ajax so that they don’t leave the club too early.”
The 67 year old also criticized parents of players who move at too young an age influenced by money. Players like Javairo Dilrosun, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Mink Peeters could be considered such examples.
