According to the Daily Mirror, Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer want’s to sign Fenerbahce striker Robin van Persie.

The 33-year-old has been heavily linked with a move back to Feyenoord this summer, but his transfer fee and wages are a major stumbling block for the Eredivisie champions.

The Daily Mirror is reporting on Thursday that Van Persie could now be on course for a return to the Premier League. New Crystal Palace boss Frank de Boer is hoping to bring the former Arsenal and Manchester United star back to London to spearhead his attack next season.

Palace would be able to offer Van Persie a much better wage than Feyenoord, and De Boer knows the forward well from his time as an assistant to the Dutch national team.

Van Persie is the third Dutchman to be linked with Crystal Palace since De Boer took over with Joel Veltman and Kenny Tete also said to be targets.
