Centre-back Wessel Dammers has left Feyenoord to sign a three-year contract with Eerste Divisie side Fortuna Sittard.

The 22-year-old came through the Feyenoord academy as a striker but has been converted into a centre-back over recent seasons.
He made his first team debut in 2014 against Standard Liege in the Europa League, but couldn’t build on that and spent time on loan with Cambuur. Last season, he only made one appearance for Feyenoord, against Manchester United in the Europa League.
He now drops down to the Eerste Divisie to sign for Fortuna Sittard, where he has signed a contract until 2020.
