Danilo scored twice as FC Twente netted two late goals to record a 4-2 win over ADO Den Haag.

The pressure is starting to grow on ADO boss Aleksandar Rankovic after a poor start to the season. He handed Ilay Elmkies and Nikos Karelis their first starts as he looked to turn the tide.

However, in-form FC Twente took the control from the start and Queensy Menig struck the post early on it. In the 41st minute, it was Menig who broke the deadlock after breaking through on goal.

On the hour mark, Danilo doubled the lead with a fine finish in the far corner and it seemed Twente would ease to victory.

Fifteen minutes from time, Bilal Ould-Chikh saw his strike hit the woodwork before Julio Pleguezuelo accidently deflected the ball into his own net to pull one back for ADO Den Haag. Samy Bourard then levelled in the 86th minute.

The home side couldn’t hold on for a point though, with Danilo quickly restoring Twente’s lead before Thijs van Leeuwen sealed the victory late on.

Twente now sits 3rd in the table, while ADO Den Haag are 16th.
