FC Twente have climbed temporarily to the top of the table after a 3-0 win at Willem II.

The visitors found themselves ahead after only two minutes when Vaclav Cerny played Danilo through on goal and the striker calmly slotted past Robbin Ruiter.

Three minutes into the second half, Danilo set up Jayden Oosterwolde to net his first Eredivisie goal and double Twente’s lead.

The victory was then sealed in the 62nd minute when Miquel Nelom handled in the box. Danilo’s spot kick was saved but he followed up to net the rebound.

Twente remains unbeaten and goes to the top of the table, while Willem II are 12th.
