Club Brugge have confirmed contact with AC Milan over Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld and the winger is flattered by the interest.

De Telegraaf reported on Saturday morning that the Italian giants had made contact with Club Brugge over the 21-year-old, who only made the switch to Belgium in the summer from NEC Nijmegen.

Speaking to AD, Danjuma Groeneveld said he is flattered with the link, “AC Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and as a player it is more than logical that you are charmed by such an interest.

“I do not know what the clubs are discussing with each other. I am currently a Club Brugge player, so here is my focus and nowhere else, the Club Brugge president knows what I think about it: he knows my point of view”,

Club Brugge confirmed to AD that AC Milan have made contact but added that there is also other clubs in the running. The Belgian champions are looking to keep the forward, who is currently out injured, as they battle for the title and take their place in the Europa League.
