The shock defeat against Bulgaria on Saturday has left the chances of qualifying for next years World Cup in tatters and after the match, Danny Blind appeared to be a beaten man.
After flying home to the Netherlands, Blind did not take training and instead headed for talks with the KNVB. The inevitable decision has now been reached with Blind’s time in charge of the national team over.
Blind took charge in July 2015 after Guus Hiddink left, but he could not steer Netherlands to the European Championships last summer. The World Cup campaign is now heading south too with Saturday’s defeat leaving Oranje fourth in their group at the halfway stage.
Under Blind, Netherlands lost five of their nine competitive matches. Only beating Belarus, Kazakhstan and Luxembourg.
Fred Grim will take charge of the friendly against Italy as the KNVB begin their search for a new coach.

believe me the KNVB will make a wrong choice like many times in the past, did you ask why this federation did not appoint the great Johann as coach?
Why in a hurry. Maybe you need to wait or still need longer time to Find out that Netherlands never had a coach after Worldcup 2014.
