The Serie A side were reportedly in negotiations with Manchester United to sign the Dutch international towards the end of the transfer window, but the move never came off.
AD columnist Sjoerd Mossou, has now revealed that Danny Blind acted as his son’s agent during negotiations and not Rob Jansen.
He wrote, “If you missed it, Danny Blind is nowadays the agent for Daley Blind.
“The Blind’s had issues with Rob Jansen, about passages from his book” Deal “, and Danny is suddenly no longer a trainer or coach, but his son’s agent. The career switch did not immediately lead to a ‘deal’. Daley was offered by manager Danny to AS Roma, who wanted to rent him, but one problem: Manchester United rents their players (almost) never, they only sell.”
Blind will remain at Manchester United until the end of the season. His contract runs out in the summer but the club have the option to extend it.
