Former Ajax boss Frank de Boer is back home in the Netherlands as he plans his future but rules out any move to the Chinese super league.

Speaking to Algemeen Dagblad he reflected on his brief stint in Italy, and looked to the future explaining his preferences as to where he would like to coach next. “England seems to me the most logical place in terms of language. But you still need to adjustment to the league.” De Boer continued “The Bundesliga is beautiful. Spain also attracts me.”

The former Dutch international also revealed he had offers almost straight away after losing his job in Italy, “The first clubs came after two days. but that was too quick for me I needed a rest. Never say never, but I prefer to start next season all the way from preseason.”

Summing up his experience in Italy he had regrets but also commented on the intensity of Serie A “I would have loved to stayed longer. But it also took a lot of energy. Those three months were like a year.”
