Ajax coach Frank De Boer has come out and said that he would prefer to win UEFA Europa League rather than the Eredivisie title.

The club qualified for 2013-14 Europa League after they finished 3rd in this season’s Champions League behind Barcelona and AC Milan in group H of the competition.
This is what De Boer told de Telegraaf, “If I really have to choose, I’d rather win the Europa League then I become champion.”
“I think that would be a fantastic achievement given the level of the clubs, who are still in the tournament.
“But then I have in my mind to still second in the league and through the back of the Champions to reach.”
The Lancers face Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg in the first leg of round of 32 of the competition at the Amsterdam Arena. Last year Ajax were eliminated at the same stage of the competition by Romanian club Steaua Bucharest
