Dick Advocaat confirmed after Tuesday’s 3-0 win over Romania that he was stepping down as national team boss with Frank de Boer one of the leading candidates, along with Ronald Koeman and Ruud Gullit.
However, speaking to Sport, De Boer stated that he is currently not interested in taking on Netherlands, “I am a trainer who wants to be on the field. With national teams, you only have a match once every two or three months, but it does not fit in my plans to become a national coach at the moment.”
The 47-year-old, who was sacked by Crystal Palace earlier this season, would rather take a role in Spain or Germany, “I like the playing style in Spain. I think I could work fine as a trainer here, but there are several interesting competitions, like the Bundesliga.”

He is bed coach were he goes and train is sacked inter 2monts cristal palace 1monts…its beter to not train holland..ronald koeman is the right man for the job…
He did quite well actually with Ajax. But was very unlucky with inter and crystal palace where he was not given ample time to prove himself. He will get the next opportunity for sure managing a club. To become Oranje boss , he is not ready yet.
