Last week the KNVB decided that there would be no promotion or relegation after the season was ended early. That affected Cambuur and De Graafschap, who were sure they were going to be promoted in place of RKC and ADO Den Haag.
Speaking to De Gelderlander, Hans Martijn Ostendorp confirmed the club will be taking legal action, “We discussed the entire process with each other. What happened? How did it go? In the end, we concluded that we should take legal action.”
De Graafschap is set to miss out on around €2 million due to the KNVB’s decision. They are considering a team up with Cambuur, who also wants to take legal action.
