According to Mundo Deportivo, Frenkie De Jong and Matthijs de Ligt have told Ajax that they want to leave the club this summer.

The Spanish newspaper is reporting that the duo wants to follow Justin Kluivert, who is about to sign for AS Roma, out of Ajax this summer and both have submitted the request to the club.

De Jong has been heavily linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona, who have made contact with Ajax over a deal, while De Ligt is being followed by several big European clubs including Juventus, Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

Ajax reportedly wants at least €50 million for De Jong and €60 million for De Ligt.

This report goes against those in the Netherlands this week that De Jong wants at least another year in Amsterdam, while De Telegraaf stated that Ajax would only sell De Ligt if they get him back on loan. It seems the duo are going to be the subject of much speculation in the coming weeks.
