Luuk de Jong played a starring role as PSV Eindhoven eased to a 4-1 victory at De Graafschap.

PSV headed to De Graafschap looking to book their 12th straight league win but the home side weren’t going to lie down. After only four minutes, Robert Klaasen hit the bar with a free-kick.

In the 18th minute, PSV made the breakthrough with Luuk de Jong netting his tenth league goal of the season with a tap in from close range. However, De Graafschap hit straight back when Furdjel Narsingh set up Youssef El Jebli to fire past Jeroen Zoet.

Erik Bakker forced Zoet into a fine save before Steven Bergwijn restored PSV’s lead with a fine curling strike. Before the break, Denzel Dumfries had the ball in the net again, but it was disallowed for offside by VAR.

On the hour mark, Mark van Bommel decided to take off Gaston Pereiro, who had missed two good chances to make it 3-1 and introduced Donyell Malen. The substitution had the desired effect in the 77th minute as Malen fired low past Hidde Jurjus after being set up by De Jong.

Three minutes from time, PSV made it 4-1 with Hirving Lozano’s quick free-kick sending Bergwijn in on goal before he crossed for De Jong to tap in.

Another victory for PSV and they stay comfortably top heading into the international break. De Graafschap are 16th.
