Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong feels Tottenham are slight favourites for their Champions League semi-final.

Ajax face Tottenham in the Champions League semi-final first leg on Tuesday and many are putting the Amsterdam side forward as favourites.

On the Ajax podcast, Frenkie de Jong said on the match-up, “I don’t think we’re the favorite. They play in the Premier League and are doing very well. Also on paper I don’t think we are much better than them, but not much less either. “

De Jong is hopeful of Ajax completing a treble, “We didn’t get to the Champions League semi for nothing. In the Eredivisie we are at the top and we are in the cup final. I don’t know if we’re going to win all three of them, but it is certainly possible. ”

De Jong leaves for Barcelona in the summer and he is pushing forward Carel Eiting as his possible replacement, “I hope so, I would like that. I think Carel has already shown that he is more than good enough for Ajax. I think he is a player with a lot of potential. He also did very well at the start of this season in the games he played in, so I think he can easily handle it. “
