Frenkie de Jong returned to Barcelona on Monday morning via a private plane as the club prepares to welcome players back to the training ground.

Reports in Spain over the weekend claimed that Barcelona were concerned that De Jong may not be able to return from the Netherlands on time due to a lack of flights from Amsterdam.

However, Barcelona arranged for a private plane to collect De Jong, his girlfriend and dog on Monday. Mundo Deportivo has pictures of the midfielder arriving back in the Spanish city on Monday.

De Jong had been back in the Netherlands since the 13th of March after Spain went into strict lockdown due to the corona virus outbreak.

Barcelona want their players back at the training complex one by one on Wednesday to undergo tests.
