Frenkie de Jong is back fit and is set to make his return during Barcelona’s clash with Celta Vigo on Sunday.

The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury during the latest international break and has not played since, along with his Barcelona teammate Memphis Depay.

However, De Jong has now returned to full training and will be in the squad for Barcelona’s match with Celta Vigo on Sunday evening.

De Jong may be played at centre-back due to a number of injuries in the position. Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez confirmed at his pre-game press conference that De Jong is an option to play in the defence on Sunday.
