Luuk de Jong scored twice as Sevilla defeated Inter Milan 3-2 in the Europa League final.

De Jong was awarded a starting spot for Sevilla after scoring the winning goal in their semi-final win over Manchester United. He was coming up against Stefan de Vrij, who was in the Inter defence.

After only five minutes, Inter had the lead when Romelu Lukaku netted a penalty. However, De Jong headed Sevilla level seven minutes later.

After 33 minutes, De Jong made it 2-1 with a second header from a free-kick. Two minutes later, though, Inter equalised through Diego Godin.

The second half could not live upto the excitement of the first but in the 74th minute, Diego Carlos found the net with a deflected overhead kick to win the match for Sevilla.

Sevilla lift the Europa League trophy for the sixth time in a row.
