The 23 year old has had a terrible time at Borussia Park and spent the latter half of last season on loan at Premier League club Newcastle united.
In an interview with OmroepBrabant the former Twente striker said,
“Since last Monday I am back at the club and I do not know exactly what is going to happen. There is also interest from other clubs in Germany and England. That gives me a good feeling. I do not exclude staying at Borussia Monchengladbach. Maybe a striker here gets injured or is sold. You do not know. I consider it unlikely that I will remain here, but you never know”
The striker went on to add that should the Red and Whites qualify for the UEFA Europa league than it would be a good option for him.
Luuk has not succeeded outside of Holland. The fact is he is slow he has good skill but he is not good enough to play for big clubs right now. Go back to Holland get your confidence back, play well and opportunities may come back. To play every game is the best thing for him in places he is comfortable with right now. He needs to get his confidence back.
