Atalanta, who had Marten de Roon and Hans Hateboer in their line-up, started brightly but Matthijs de Ligt and the Juventus defence stood strong.
In the 31st minute, Juventus took the lead through Dejan Kulusevski, who curled the ball into the net. However, Atalanta equalised before the break with Hateboer racing down the right before his cross was netted by Ruslan Malinovskyi.
Federico Chiesa was the match-winner for Juventus with 20 minutes left and Atalanta finished the game with ten men after a red card for Rafael Toloi.
The trophy is a relief for Juventus, who have had a difficult campaign. For De Ligt, it is his second trophy since joining Juventus.
