Juventus failed to wrap up the Serie A title on Thursday after falling to a last-minute 2-1 defeat to Udinese.

A win for Juventus would have put them nine points ahead of Atalanta with only three games to go. Matthijs de Ligt started for the league leaders, while Bram Nuytinck, Hidde Ter Avest, and Marvin Zeegelaar all started for Udinese.

In the 42nd minute, De Ligt fired Juventus ahead with a low strike from outside the box which found the bottom corner.

However, Udinese equalised in the 52nd minute through Ilija Nestorovski. Then with the game heading for a 1-1 draw, the hosts stunned Juventus with a 92nd minute winner scored by Seko Fofana.

The win means Juventus are now only six points ahead with three games to go so they must wait to seal the title.
