Matthijs de Ligt scored on his Bayern Munich debut in their 6-2 win over DC United.

Noussair Mazraoui started the clash with Dutchmen Matthijs de Ligt, Ryan Gravenberch and Joshua Zirkzee all appearing after the break. By the second half the score was already 3-0 to Bayern thanks to Sadio Mane, Marcel Sabitzer, and Serge Gnabry.
Just over a minute after coming on, De Ligt added the fourth with a thunderous volley at the back post following a corner. Five minutes later, Zirkzee also got himself on the scoresheet and the match ended 6-2.
De Ligt did need to get substituted but head coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed afterward that it was just tiredness and not an injury.
