Juventus have moved clear at the top of the Serie A table after a 2-0 win at Bologna on Monday night.

Juventus headed to Bologna only sitting one point above second placed Lazio in a tight Serie A title race. Matthijs de Ligt started for Juve, while Stefano Denswil and Mitchell Dijks were in the Bologna eleven.

After 23 minutes, De Ligt played a key role as he was brought down from a corner by Denswil, earning Juventus a penalty. Cristiano Ronaldo slotted in the spot-kick to make it 1-0.

In the 36th minute, Paulo Dybala made it 2-0 with an excellent strike, and that would prove to be the final goal of the game. Danilo saw red late on for Juventus, but they comfortably saw out the victory.

De Ligt, Denswil and Dijks all played the full ninety minutes of the clash. Juventus are now four points clear at the top while Bologna are 10th.
