According to Tuttosport, Matthijs de Ligt will undergo shoulder surgery and is set to be out for months as he recovers.

The Juventus defender has been playing through the pain for months since dislocating his shoulder way back in November.

Now that the campaign is now over, De Ligt is going to have surgery to correct the issue and that will rule him out for around 2-3 months. Tuttosport believes De Ligt would be out until at least November.

That would rule the centre-back out of Netherlands opening Nations League ties against Poland and Italy in September, as well as the start of the new Serie A season.
