Danny Blind has added Leroy Fer and Marten de Roon to his Netherlands squad for their upcoming tie with Luxembourg.

Jeremain Lens, Stijn Schaars and Vincent Janssen all succumb to injury during the 1-1 draw with Belgium on Wednesday evening and have been ruled out of the World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg on Sunday. Danny Blind has decided to add Swansea City’s Leroy Fer and Middlesbrough’s Marten de Roon to his squad.
It is the first time De Roon has been called-up to the Dutch national team, with the midfielder overlooked by Blind so far despite his excellent form for Atalanta last season and big money move to Middlesbrough.
Fer has 11 caps to his name already, scoring once.
