Atalanta came from 2-0 down to defeat title-chasing Lazio 3-2 on Wednesday evening.

Marten de Roon and Hans Hateboer started for Atalanta against a Lazio side sitting second and only four points off Juventus.

After only five minutes, Lazio were ahead after De Roon turned the ball into his own net. Six minutes later, Sergej Milinković-Savic found the net with an excellent strike to make it 2-0.

Robin Gosens pulled one back for the hosts six minutes before the break with a powerful header, and that gave the hosts confidence heading into the second half.

Atalanta were the better team after the break and in the 66th minute, Ruslan Malinovskiy found the top corner to equalise. José Palomino then completed the comeback victory in the 81st minute.

Atalanta stay fourth and are now four points off Inter in third. Elsewhere Justin Kluivert stayed on the bench as Roma defeated Sampdoria 2-1.
