The chances of Steven Defour moving from Porto to PSV Eindhoven are slim at the moment because the Portuguese club is asking for too much money.

defourbsjbfOn Sunday the agent of Defour claimed his client had agreed personal terms with PSV, and they were just waiting for a fee to be accepted by Porto.

However that does not seem likely to happen now with Porto wanting between €8-9 million for the Belgian midfielder, while PSV were only willing to offer €4-5 million.

PSV director Marcel Brands said on the move, “Defour is too expensive. FC Porto asks too much. Such amounts we will not pay. As it stands now, we have to look at other players,”

This is a blow for PSV coach Phillip Cocu who wanted to add Defour to his midfield as cover for the injured Stijn Schaars.
