Go Ahead Eagles have announced the signing of Dutch winger Vince Gino Dekker on a six month deal with an option of another year. The player was a free transfer after having his contract with AZ Alkmaar terminated last month.

Dekker came through the youth ranks in Amsterdam, playing for every age group from the end of six. He spent his final season at the club with the Jong Ajax title winning side before moving onto AZ last summer, also on a free transfer.

In Alkmaar he was again confined to the youth side and made eighteen appearances this season in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie before his contract was dissolved.

The 21-year-old has struggled with injuries recently, and it remains to be seen whether the skilful winger can remain free of problems at Go Ahead Eagles to fulfil his obvious potential.
