Despite having spent only a season and a half with French team Olympique Lyon, Memphis Depay looks likely to bring his talents somewhere else this summer. The striker is on the heels of a blistering end of the previous campaign which saw OL qualify for the Champions League thanks to Depay’s return of 19 goals and 13 assists, which has reignited interest in the young winger after his reputation taking a hit during his time at Manchester United.

Reports in Italy state Depay has agreed to personal terms with AC Milan, however, a fee has not been agreed upon between the clubs.

Serie A would be a good next move for Depay, who at 24, is still young. The Italian league is not what it once was, but is still a strong league where he would be testing his skills against Juventus, Roma, Lazio, and Inter Milan, which are teams stronger than Ligue 1 can provide.

Should Depay move on, Manchester United would have first right of refusal due to a buy-back clause in the transfer agreement, however, with his services not needed due to the depth of the current squad, they’ll more likely take the sell-on portion of his transfer fee.
