With Netherlands currently sitting third in their group, avoiding defeat in Paris is a must if they want to keep their chances of automatically qualifying alive. Advocaat stated that Netherlands will be looking to get a good result, while also confirming that Robin van Persie is fit to play, despite reportedly suffering from a shoulder issue.

Advocaat said, ”All players that are in the squad are fit and eligible to play against France and Bulgaria.

”I am yet to tell the players who will be starting against France. I will let them know tomorrow. I will certainly not be letting the press know before the players.

”We all know that France have a fantastic team. They could select up to three teams in terms of international quality and we cannot to that.

”We will have to be very organized and you do not always have to play well in order to win.

”We intend to get a result in Paris.”
