Dijkhuizen was sacked as coach of English Championship side Brentford in September after a difficult start to the season, but on Monday he has been presented as the new boss of NAC Breda.
The 43-year-old replaces Robert Maaskant, who was given the axe earlier this month, and will be tasked with taking NAC back to the Eredivisie.
NAC currently sit sixth in the Eerste Divisie, four points behind leaders Volendam. Dijkhuizen’s first game in charge will be on Friday away to Den Bosch.
