After suffering an injury just minutes into his debut for the Netherlands Elftal in November, Hertha Berlin winger Javairo Dilrosun has completed his recovery program and is fit to face Mainz this weekend. Having played 60 minutes for the second team last weekend, he isn’t expected to participate for the full 90 minutes.

20-year-old Dilrosun left Manchester City this summer without making a single senior-side appearance but has settled in quickly in Berlin. Dilrosun has two goals and three assists in ten Bundesliga appearances and earned his first call up the national team in November.

Having sat on the bench for the 2-0 win against France, Dilrosun replaced Quincy Promes handing him his debut at halftime against Germany. Unfortunately, after only 21 minutes his game came to a disappointing end with an injury.

He nearly made his return a month ago, but picked up another injury in the process. Hertha boss Pál Dárdai will be relieved to get a boost of pace, energy, and skill back into the squad to finish out the season where they’ll look to make a late push for a spot in next season’s Europa League.
